Hector Maytorena, P.E. and Nolan Huelsman, P.E.
San Diego, CA — BWE, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Hector Maytorena, P.E., and Nolan Huelsman P.E., QSD, QSP to Principal Associate.
Promotion to Principal Associate at BWE means that an individual has demonstrated excellence in their respective responsibilities and a proven level of business acumen and technical expertise in line with company values. A Principal Associate occupies the level of responsibility and recognition between the Principal and Associate levels.
Hector has been a dedicated member of the Civil Engineering Department for over 15 years. In that time, he has steadily progressed in his technical insight to become a formidable engineer with expertise in all aspects of site development. Hector has also worked hard to grow as a project manager and leader known for his straightforward and reasoned approach. His devotion to the company and hard work is evident to all and has made him a vital part of the Civil Engineering Department and BWE. Hector’s notable projects include Sharp Grossmont Hospital Central Utility Plant Expansion & Utility Infrastructure Improvements, Joint Strike Facility (P-207 Hangars) at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College Art & Culinary Arts Building, Loma Linda University Medical Center Campus Improvement and Rehabilitation Hospital, San Diego Cooperative Charter School Phase 1, award winning Cesar Solis Community Park, and the largest skate park in San Diego, the Linda Vista Skate Park.
Nolan is a more recent addition to the firm but has quickly proven himself a valued team member. He brought over 16 years of civil engineering and senior leadership experience, having worked on over 200 projects and served as a Senior Vice President of a local firm. His leadership and ability to manage projects is evident to those who work with him. Also, Nolan’s relationships with past clients continue at BWE, where he demonstrates a firm commitment to customer service and is rewarded with client loyalty. Nolan’s project experience includes land development, commercial, daycare, elementary, middle school, high school, and college facilities. Significant projects include Workshops for Warriors, an organization that trains, certifies, and helps place Veterans into advanced manufacturing careers; Agape House, a 5-story Episcopal Campus Ministry building at San Diego State University; and a Target store in Spring Valley.
