Experience

Haoen “Andy” Lin has been a project manager in the BWE Structural Engineering Department for the past three years, and in 2021 he was promoted to Principal Associate in the firm. Andy is an innovative and accomplished structural engineer known for his proactive approach to project management. As a project manager, he works directly with architects to develop structural systems that meet the needs of the project. In Andy’s three short years with the firm, he has worked on notable projects such as the San Clemente Outlet Theater, St. Teresa of Calcutta Villas, the County Administration Center’s Major Systems Renovations, Balboa Park’s California Tower Seismic Retrofit, CHP San Bernardino Replacement Facility, and the Hotel Sanford Renovation, among others. Andy’s previous experience entailed planning, managing, and reviewing over 100 seismic evaluations of existing structures for the Los Angeles Unified School District. His work contributed to the AB 300 Program, a District initiative to safeguard the structural integrity of over 600 at-risk buildings during a major earthquake.
