Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel on a 17,049 SF parcel located at the northeast corner of the intersection of 9th and Island Avenues in the East Village neighborhood of downtown San Diego. The northern boundary of the site contains a three-story hotel structure with natural light wells adjacent to the property line. The hotel consists of a 170,000 SF, 12-story concrete framed tower over a two-level subterranean parking garage (35,000 SF). The building was designed per CCDC PDO requirements. Hotel Indigo, San Diego consists of 210 guestrooms, a 75-seat restaurant, and 1,200 SF of meeting space. Notable features include a rooftop terrace with a reflection pool, fire pits, soft seating, and a view of baseball games at Petco Park. Sustainable features include recycled materials, CFC-free cooling system, natural lighting, windows with insulating glaze, and a “green roof” will include native species of grasses and shrubbery that will reduce heating and cooling and better manage storm water runoff. Hotel Indigo is the first LEED certified hotel in San Diego.
