Los Angeles City College Holmes Hall Renovation and New Student Services Building

Holmes Hall is the renovation of an existing 2-story, 30,656 SF, concrete building with a basement. The upgrades included the installation of a new elevator, doors, frames and hardware sets, modifying existing fan coil units and improve air distribution, upgrading the network and A/V capacity, to bring the building to the current ADA standards as well as the design of a new central HVAC system. The Student Services Center building is a new, 73,000 SF, 3-story Student Services Building on the footprint of the old MLK Library. The project houses administrative offices for the campus admissions & records, assessments & orientation, business office, cub card, financial aid, student assistance, and transfer & counseling functions. The project will be LEED certified.
